Fantastic! Wax is definitely the way to go for gravel. I had been wavering about waxed chains for a little while but was REALLY put off by the idea of having to properly clean a factory (or used) chain first. After seeing SILCA offers a chain already cleaned and waxed, combined with research I did via Zero Friction Cycling the decision was simple. Also, the application of new hot wax is super simple. Simply loop the chain on a piece of metal, rest on top of wax in the slow-cooker, turn the slow-cooker on low with the lid off and let it do its magic. After using it for one month, I have also converted to waxed chains for my road bikes.
