The answer is "Yes." I bought the Pista to replace a Giant Control Tower Pro that worked really well for years (I gave it to a friend who is now using it). First, I used the PIsta to pump up my friend's Schrader valved tires. No problem. Then, I brought it home and pumped the Presta valved tires on my bike. Great! Easy to attach to the valve, no air leaks, pumps well (takes a little muscle but you can use both hands), and detaches from the valve as easily as it attaches (push on, pull off). I will tell you later how it holds up over time. The construction is meticulous and the finish excellent (no closet, it is on display in my living room).
Regarding Silca's service. There was an ordeal with UPS delivering the pump (different review). Martha at Silca responded quickly to my request for help, and persistent with UPS until the pump finally arrived, all the time being courteous and supportive.
So, as I said, yes, it is possible to love a bicycle pump and the people who make and support it.
