There are multiple ways to strip a chain for wax prep. You can go old school with hardware store chemicals. If you have our Wax System you can use StripChip. Or you use #Silca Chain Stripper, a highly concentrated, biodegradable degreaser combined with a wax adhesion promoter (primer) which allows for fast (10 min), single-step preparation of factory chains for waxing while also improving wax adhesion and increasing longevity. It can even be used on-bicycle to prepare chains for our Super Secret drip wax.
