One of the most common misconceptions about chain wax is that it doesn't work well in the winter...Thats simply not true, wax is more efficient than oil based lube and lasts longer than oil in all conditions. What oil does well is hide in plain sight... dirty is dirty, and the sound stays consistent. So you dont know when its not working, and causing wear on your components. Wax will start to max noise as it wears, even then its still protecting, but its a good signal that you need to re-wax soon.
