Since #Silca was re-launched in the US in 2014, we have loved mixing cycling and art. Most often the canvas would be a SuperPista Ultimate, or Impero frame pump painted to match custom bicycles. From Speedvagen, Pegoretti, and Richard Sachs, and onto No.22 and Firefly, our pumps have been turned into works of art. We have done collaborations on tool rolls with the likes of Dustin Klein and collaborated with Caitlin Fielder on a series of artist pumps! Now for the first time we are bringing art to the HX-One Tool Kit. We have collaborated with Chris McNally (@the.scorps) a prolific American Illustrator and painter based in San Francisco to do a limited run of hand painted HX-Ones tool kits. These kits are a multi step process, all starting with an original McNally drawing, that we laser engraved into the Beechwood boxes in-house. Chris then hand painted 10 total boxes in a few different variations, depicting how one of his favorite ride spots changes as the season do. Each painted box is singed by Chris and each is truly one of a kind. Here’s where the fun begins: These super limited Artist Edition HX-Ones will be blind boxed, meaning that the 10 hand painted boxes will get mixed into a batch of 50 HX-One boxes with just the McNally art laser engraved design. 60 total McNally boxes will be made. You have a one in six chance to get the hand painted version. We also did some McNally Artist Edition T-Shirts as well.
