Our single vessel system continues to move forward as we get closer to our pre-sale and launch. We have BETA testers who are currently putting batches through the system, so stay tuned for their feedback. In the meantime, we want to give you a quick overview of a few unique features.
The full system is compact and turn-key. The kettle, grain basket, lid, controller (not shown) and pump (not shown) will all be included, making it brew-ready out of the box. We’ve designed the basket lid so it can be conveniently hung on the back handle of the kettle while mashing in.
For the basket itself, we went with an all-stainless construction for increased durability and ease of cleaning, especially when compared to mesh style grain baskets. And like our kettle and Nano System false bottoms, the bottom of the basket features precision-lasered slits. It also has a downward-draining design, which promotes good flow through the grain bed and eliminates the possibility of wort spilling out over the sides while it’s being lifted. Lastly, and most importantly, the basket has hanging hooks. Made out of thick 304SS, these hooks will easily handle the weight of the basket filled with wet grain, allowing you to quickly and easily hang it on the kettle lip until it’s fully drained. You can also perform a vorlauf while the grain basket is raised to help clarify your beer.
