Growing up, my mom, my grandma and my sister and I spent nearly every single weekend here. It was our thing. Limited Too, Chick-fil-A and an ice cream treat to is how we spent Saturdays. I fell in love with clothes here and found a confidence in dressing and putting together outfits. I’d walk through and look at the window displays and merchandising and even try to figure out their markdown strategies— I learned that clothes can be something to bond over. Even though I was from a very small town in southern Louisiana, I knew I wanted a career in fashion from a very early age.
I hadn’t walked through these doors in over 15 years and my precious grandmother has been gone nearly 5 years. Time passes so fast and I was struck so hard walking in today with my mom and I wearing my own clothing label 😭 and a daughter old enough to also be wearing SSYS. Life is so crazy, and this small town girl would have never imagined such a thing…but God. He knew it all along. He’s so detailed and provisional and I love the full circle moments when I get a glimpse of His plan and all how all the steps of obedience came to fruition 💕
