I’ve never really had the most consistent relationship with health and fitness. Typically I’d set goals I couldn’t reach fast enough so I’d get discouraged and quit. That would then lead me into a version of self-loathing that I’d carry for a bit and then go set more goals. Thus, the cycle continues.
I’m breaking that cycle.
By no means am I saying it’s not going to happen again, but I am changing my mindset around it. If I tell myself I’m probably going to fail again, I will. If I believe it’s too hard, it will be.
MY GOAL: a stronger, healthier, happier lifestyle.
No time frame, no number.
I think tangible goals are great, but right now that’s not my focus. This goal is going to require more than just physical changes, but mental and spiritual adjustments to move me forward.
I’m sharing this partly to hold myself accountable, but I also want to encourage you to look inwards. What is a cycle you need to break by switching up you goals and mindset? ⚡️⚡️⚡️ When I set new fitness goals I love having new workout clothes. They make me feel more confident when I show up to the gym! This set from stronger is my new obsession because of how flexible and comfortable it is. The pants also come up very high waisted which is hard to find for my giant self.
