SUBTYPE SELECTS is a conceptual project which aims to build community connections by unearthing emerging like-minded talent.
We focus on partnerships with creatives of all disciplines and work to provide a platform for this talent to talk about their story as artists, and their connection to fashion. More specifically, the brands that we stock that they feel aligned with.
Organic connections is crucial to us at SUBTYPE. We don’t tell the talent what they must wear, we allow them free reign to select anything from our curated breadth of brands and they take the styling from there when we create together.
Each artist has a unique story, and we work to reflect this with bespoke storytelling for each.
Up next is Charlotte Frimpong, frequently known by her stage name to the Australian club scene as CFrim (@C.frim), one of Australia’s biggest DJ’s, an event curator, radio broadcaster, model and a true style diamond in the rough.
At 22 years of age, she’s already signed to Berlin based music agency, Ekipa, and tours Australia regularly. She’s rocked headline times at Pitch Music & Arts, Inner Varnika, not to mention a world rocking closing set at Boiler Room x Sugar Mountain.
Charlotte’s energy is undeniable, manoeuvring through 4 different outfits with a poetic bravado, and a kind of melodic boldness.
