"I have fond memories of spending my summers with my family in Florida, where the presence of nature was inescapable. I loved being able to see so many unique animals that I couldn’t see in my hometown in Kentucky; swarms of stingrays, lizards at every turn, crabs at night on the beach, and brown pelicans in flight. My favourite animal to see was the snowy egret. I loved watching these bright white birds with their vibrant yellow bills.
