This swimsuit makes me feel so much better about my postpartum body summersalt 🖤I’ve always struggled with discontentment. I’ve learned that I like change & crave new changes constantly. I fall into the trap of thinking the grass is greener on the other side. And there’s always something new I want. So I’ve been looking into ways to feel more content that I want to share. The most common thing to do is to keep a gratitude journal. Writing down all of the things you are grateful for puts into perspective how much there is to be thankful for in your own life. Focusing on the good even if you’re going through distressing things is super beneficial. Sometimes I’ll include a list when I’m journaling. The next tip is to keep striving for your goals. This might sound counterproductive but if we’re not aiming for anything we can feel stuck and discontent. Unfollowing people on social media that don’t seem real is another beneficial change. There’s a lot of super manicured people and if you feel bad seeing glimpses of their life, unfollow them. Focus on activities that bring you joy, like a new hobby, caring for houseplants, praying, having a show you look forward to watching at the end of the night, trying new recipes, and my personal favorite, always have a book you’re reading. These are some proven ways to help yourself feel more content. Easier said than done like always but definitely worth the effort to feel happier with our own lives. I need to take my own advice with this one so don’t feel bad if you can relate to not feeling content🤍
