Alternatively, you can do what we did and just follow the snorkelling boats around in a canoe, stealing their precious local knowledge and earning some bewildered looks from passengers who didn't realise that their hotels were a mere 100m paddle away. I estimated that we saw about 37 sharks within the space of 20 minutes, but @mattwilko8 disagreed and said we saw 46.
