Summersite | VIMEO | MAY 18

After visiting the whale shark village of Donsol we jumped onto a short Philippine Airlines flight from Legazpi to Puerto Princesa, Palawan, the westernmost island province of the Philippines. Recently voted "The Top Island in the World" by Conde Nast Traveller's 2014 Reader Choice Awards, Palawan is the true definition of paradise on earth.

This sparcely populated province is characterised by small fishing villages, jungle-clad mountains, pristine water and coral gardens teeming with fish and other marine creatures.

We drove north from the city of Puerto Princesa to El Nido before jumping onto a traditional banca (Filipino outrigger) for 5 days of navigating a maze of mostly uninhabited islands before disembarking in the seaside town of Coron. Here is our short film from our Philippine journey.

Film produced for Summersite
Filmed by Liss Connell and Grace Picot // Edited by Liss Connell.
Music: Song - By the Ocean // Artist - Dusty Boots
