Here’s the result of my little experiment today.
◾️ I woke up 30 minutes earlier than I planned to but it was okay - I had an extra 30 minutes to talk to my boyfriend this morning.
◾️ I started work on time but didn’t end it as planned as I felt like I needed to take a break in the middle of work. I squeezed in my time reading as well during my break.
◾️ I also had issues with studying (Goal 2) because Coursera had an unexpected maintenance while I was working on my units today so I stopped after 30 minutes.
Overall, I think I did a great job! I did see though that I have to make some time for playing as well because it’s something I love doing and my own form of self-care to take a break from hustling.
Realization today: Being highly aware and conscious about tracking my time really helped me to (almost) stick to my planned time for today. Tracking my time was something that I never really did before, I treated my time-blocked day as a “nice to have” plan for the day but didn’t really think of sticking to it.
I’m doing this again in the next few days and would probably try to come up with wittier section names instead of Expectation and Reality.
I highly suggest you guys to try this out too if you want to try it too!
