One of the best pieces of gear I brought to Baja was my somewearlabs satellite hotspot. This time, the bike stalled multiple times and had a problem while I was out exploring by myself. I was miles out in the high desert with just some water and a Leatherman. Was it life threatening? Not at all. Did I limp back out just fine and get back to the truck? Yes. But was it comforting to know, that in a pinch I could’ve sent a pin and have someone come help me if I wasn’t able to hike out? F-yes it was👌🏻. Just having it for those “oh shit” moments can be the difference of a good day and a bad one.
