10 year today since @superfeast was officially created and established in my mums spare bedroom in Gladesville, Sydney. 10 years of huge adventures and lessons. Itās been the dojo I always wanted and needed, and the one I wouldnāt have created as a 24 year old if he knew exactly what it was going to take to do this thing. The first pic here is when I first brought the mushrooms I love and am entwined with into the country; it was a day that changed the trajectory of my life forever, and one that marked the beginning to starting tens of thousands of people on their tonic herb journey; settling back into Earth-based herbal philosophy and pulling back the claws that institutions have around medicines. 10 years of preventing disease weāll never know about. 10 years of giving people more vibrancy and capacity to enjoy life. 10 year of countless, countless nights packing herbs, packing orders, researching how the f*** to run a business (all for no money for so many years). There have been a few renditions of the SF logo and look. I threw several cacao dance parties for some reason š (they were bloody epic). So so many early mornings and hours spent at Sydney markets establishing my skillset of how to communicate these herbs (thanks Frenchs Forest crew). There have been colossal mistakes, some turned into absolute blessings, others still hurt. There have been betrayals. Iāve met best friends and allies and assholes along the way. So much laughter. So many tears. So many times wanting to scream and bail because I was sick of being trapped. Lots of good advice, and thankfully 1 pivotal time that a mate told me āyou are trapped, enjoy itā¦ā I didnāt sell because of that advice 6 years agoā¦
Iāve dragged myself kicking and screaming through the business world, and by-gosh I may finally be ready to understand what a balance sheet is (maybe).
Iāve watched values and missions rise and rein in our company culture. Ive had staff come and go, and now have co-created a work home for many. Iāve been humbled time and time again. Iāve done shadow work on myself and my business and tried to keep it real.
