Rachel Carson wrote A Silent Spring, the book that revealed to the world the dangers of the pesticide DDT, originally developed for war time and later sold commercially throughout the world with little regard for the impact the liberal application of pesticides might have on plants, animals, and of course, humans. It’s since been banned in the developed world, though it still shows up in our food chain and in the cells of people with Alzheimer’s and other degenerative ‘diseases.’ The ego of humanity’s shadow is that we forget that we are nature. That what we do to her is done to us. We are afraid of our animalistic selves, our intuitive selves, we repress them with culture and rigid social codes and we build walls between ourselves and the natural world. And yet, all of us are born from her and all of us will return to her. As we move into a new decade the challenge of humanity is to learn to use technology not to master the natural world but to master our own shadow, our own ego. At SuperFeast we have found that the closer we live to the natural rhythm of the land on which we stand the closer we feel to our selves and to a higher sense of purpose and clarity. Our prayer for this decade is that human innovation can be directed towards a future that, while inconceivable in the moment, will feel like nature, will feel like home when we get there. We bow to all the thought leaders and brave souls who have fought back against govt and corporate corruption and we hope to nourish and support the future disrupters, innovators and change-makers. If you have a dream, a plan, an idea, something you want to fight for, we’re behind you. That’s what we want too. ☯️ ☯️ ☯️ #superfeast #taoist #tonicherbs #medicinalmushrooms #herbs #tao #tcm
