๐ฑWe definitely believe this old sentiment to be very true. When sourcing Di Tao, yearning to maintain the embers of the Taoists of antiquity alive, if the herb is seeded, grown and/or foraged in a way that respects that herbโs ancient innate intelligence and the environment they thrive growing in, then you will see that herb being strong in its carrying of the Jing, Qi and Shen Treasures that we intend to nourish in our own bodies. If the harvesting, transport, extraction and delivering of these herbs to you, as well as the ways in which one educates about the herbs, is done with reverence and ceremoniously in its own right, then we open the possibility of moving towards working with the living energies of these herbs and cultivating an expression of our virtues, rather than being led astray by desire for egoic gain. The way these plants and mushrooms are treated effects their efficacy, and when we realise this and invite them into our family culture and energetic matrix, then we enter into the realm of true tonic herbalism.
