The most important part of Di Tao (#BeyondOrganic) growing and sourcing of herbs is the water. When medical institutions and businessmen began creating farms for herbs closer to the cities and in areas where there could be high yield thanks to industrial agricultural practices, the question emerging from those who actually had a relationship with the herbs were "but what about the water?" You see, we appreciate that there's a place for the above in reactive medicine and herbalism, but when you're really wanting to live a long and healthy life you MUST consider the water that ultimate creates the herbs we're taking.
Some new companies are now trying to jump onto the Di Tao bandwagon, which is awesome, but many of them simply think its about the area that the herbs grow, and completely forget and ignore that the water is THE most important thing; without it the herbs can't absorb the magical earthly and cosmic qualities that make them tonic herbs.
We choose independent farms growing reishi on Dabie Mountain right beneath wild springs. We've tested the water personally and the TDS (total dissolved solids) of the water was 3 parts per million! The lowest reading and highest quality we've ever seen in the world.
We choose amazing lion's mane farms in far norther China where the temperature is perfect for badass lion's mane, but more importantly only use a spring water well on the property that they purpose build so they don't have to use a touch of municipal water on the farm.
We choose wild schizandra orchards that don't use irrigation, only wild waters.
And on the list goes... All of our herbs are touched by wild water, it is the je ne sais quoi (that special undefinable something you guys feel) when you take the herbs.
