The way we see it, if you’re going to include a herb like coffee in your diet... make sure your liver and kidneys can handle it. One way to do that is by adding tonic herbs to your coffee to balance out the taxing and over-stimulating effect of your daily herbal elixir.
In this instance we’re including our brain nourishing Neural Nectar to our coffee. Having an array of adaptogenic herbs that work to bring adaptability to the hormonal system, support the adrenals (especially with the inclusion of mucuna, rhodiola and white peony in this nootropic blend) and immune enhancing properties (hello lions mane, can you spot this magic mushie in the pic?) that can take advantage of the Qi moving properties of coffee so they can penetrate deeper is always a good idea; we basically don’t drink a coffee without tonic herbs because we see this as a daily chance to deliver our longevity medicine into our system.
How do you include them in your coffee?
1️⃣If you’re making a bulletproof style coffee elixir you can blend the herbs straight in with all your other ingredients.
2️⃣If you’re at a cafe, add your tsp of herbal extract to the bottom of your keep cup, get the barista to drop a little bit of hot water on them to dissolve (tell him like the choc in a mocha), then make the coffee as normal.
3️⃣Go to a rad cafe that has already integrated @superfeast tonics into their menu like @thebranches_, @punch_and_daisy or @coffeeboxbyron in Byron Bay.
Remember coffee is not a tonic herb, it’s not intended for daily use, but adding tonic herbs and mushies to your daily elixir can heavily benefit your body and reduce any excessive impact from the coffee.
Good news is... adding a blend like Neural Nectar doesn’t effect the stimulative effect, but rides off the back of it, driving its brain activating herbal magic deeper and, due to its Jing and nervous system toning effect, stops the coffee from smashing your body and having a harsh come-down or shakes.
Tomorrow is Monday guys, if you’re mind need to be ON then we suggest adding some Neural to your elixir.
