"The Daoist approach opens up into the magical, multidimensional reality of what the body and the organs are. It teaches that the body has Three Treasures: Jing, Qi and Shen, that we can cultivate through herbs, energy practices and living in flow with nature. The magic of these teachings needs preservation. This is why we talk about the philosophy behind our herbs so much, because without honouring the ancient Chinese roots of this herbal system, then we’d be out of integrity." - Mason Taylor.
It is extremely important to us that you truely understand the importance of Di Dao, and why this sourcing philosophy is a non-negotiable for us.
The word Dao, in this case refers to the district in which the herb is grown, and Di, can be understood as the soil and land in which the herb is grown.
In other words, sourced from its spiritual homeland.
Di Dao herbs must be high quality, medicinally dense herbs that have been grown in their natural habitat. This provides the herbs with the healing properties that allow them to be effective in fulfilling their purpose as a medicinal herbs and tonics.
We are extremely proud to source our herbs from China, for a number of reasons, but we will never waver on sourcing the highest quality herbs that we would want to personally take ourselves and share with our loved ones (that includes all of you).
