Sandbanks Riesling
Made in Niagara, ON
$14.95 at LCBO (but currently on sale for $12.95 đź‘€) This is hands down the summer wine of 2019. This shit made me like white wine. We buy a bottle of this once, maybe twice, a week.
The actual sugar content of this wine is pretty high at 24 g/L but it’s not overpowering at all. I really don’t know how this wine manages to be so freaking balanced, but it does. I really dislike “bready” flavours in white wine and there are none to be found here. It’s got hella peach, pear, and apricot goodness but once again, they’re not overpowering. Overall, a really smooth and aromatic finish.
