All Tala packaging in production is now 100% plastic-free, saving approx. 8000kg of single-use plastic annually. Our shift to brown box packaging saw a considerable reduction in ink use, while the use of paper void filler and tissue paper over plastic alternatives means close to 100% of our packaging can be recycled and doesn’t require bleaching, thus reducing harmful chemicals released into the environment.
Another milestone has been the reduction in carton sizes by up to 63%, making transportation more effective and minimising the carbon footprint of delivery vehicles.
Did you know? The peanuts used in our packaging (see image 3) are made from starch, making them fully biodegradable.
