Our malty and sweet Pu erh teas comes from the Menghai county in the Yunnan province of China. Menghai’s mild sub-tropical climate and remoteness encourage rich biodiversity, and foster the growth of high quality teas. Tea leaves are grown and harvested in counties along the Lancang river here – including ‘wild arbor’, the highly sought after large, soft, silver leaves picked from plants and trees that grow wild on the hillside. It’s believed that some of these trees are over 1000 years old.🍵 🍃
