The action on this knife is first-rate, both extending and retracting the blade. It is awesome to watch through the translucent back, as you hear the sharp "snap" of the blade in operation. It's definitely fun to play with, and handy for light jobs like opening the mail. Not sure how it would hold up to extreme use, but I think it was worth every penny I paid!
