Photo from BC #guestagrammer @victoraerden: "We then travelled north on Highway 97 to Fort St John, where we got onto the Alaska Highway, built by the American Army and American and Canadian civilians as the first overland road into Alaska. In fact, in this same year that Canada celebrates its 150th birthday, the Alaska Highway turned 75. The thing that impressed me most about this unique road is the vast wilderness that surrounds it. Kilometres of nothing but endless forests, hills and mountains. Wildlife was abundant here; we saw several bears almost every day, woodland buffalo, and this very cute fox." #exploreBC #exploreCanada #travelnorthernBC
