Photo and caption from BC #guestagrammer, @tedhesser: "One day, along the drive across the Chilcotin, we spotted a great grey owl sitting on a fence post. Great Greys are the largest owls on Earth, so it wasn’t too hard to spot :) - I had never seen one before, so was really excited. We parked, hopped out, and spent the next few hours hanging with the owl. He flew from fence post to fence post and occasionally flew back into the trees. All the while scouring the ground for a meal. Such a magnificent creature. The best parts of a road trip always seem to be the unplanned moments. We never expected to see a Great Grey in the Chilcotin, but it sure did make the trip special when we were lucky to spend some time with one. " #exploreBC #exploreCanada #ccclives
