Photo from BC #guestagrammer @northkourt: "It’s no secret that winters in the north are long and cold, but contrary to popular belief, with the right gear and attitude, they aren’t something that needs to be 'endured'. We pitched our wall tent for a weekend of winter camping at the head of Yedhe Creek Trail which leads to one of my favorite lakes in the Muskwa Kechika, Moose Lake. Frozen in the shoreline you can see tracks from the various ungulates who call this place home." Note: Snowshoeing and hiking in winter conditions can be hazardous. If you are travelling through avalanche terrain, you and everyone in your group must be self-sufficient—carrying all the proper gear (transceiver, shovel, and probe) and have avalanche training. @bc_adventuresmart is a great resource to help you get informed before heading outdoors. Remember the three Ts—trip planning, training, and taking the essentials. #exploreBC #exploreCanada #travelnorthernBC #adventuresmart
