thirdlove love sent me this very lovely bra and asked me to to share a little bit about motherhood on this Mother’s Day weekend. And today, I can only think about how busy I am. We know moms are busy, but it’s beyond just a busy day. Throwing it back to my college waitressing days, I would say I’ve been “in the weeds” since April 2017. There are barely moments to breathe when someone always needs to be fed, changed, driven somewhere, cuddled, held, kissed, entertained, or cleaned up after. My husband is off today, so I took this morning to leave the house at 7:30 and head to an early DMV appointment. This was after, of course, feeding the baby and pumping so I could leave. After the DMV, which is very far away, I’m getting a PO Box, delivering flowers from the school fundraiser, going grocery shopping, and vacuuming and mopping the house. These activities actually feel like a break. On my way down, my husband called to express his frustration towards me and my precariously placed bottle of sesame oil, from my desperate, quick attempt to clean up and get out of the house. It fell on him, out of the cabinet when he opened it, broke open, covered the counters, walls, coated all the clean dishes in the open dishwasher and in the drying rack, and a million other inconvenient places. Oops. This is a snapshot of our life. The weeds keep growing thicker, but we keep trudging through them. Moms are amazing, dads are amazing, caregivers are amazing—growing flowers through it all. Happy Mother’s Day Weekend, and thanks, ThirdLove! #realwithtl #thirdlovepartner #momlifebelike #mothersdayweekend
