35 weeks - Birth Hopes 🙏🏾

When I was pregnant with the twins my c-section was scheduled for 8/18. I was disappointed to think that I would never get to experience my water breaking and the whole “going into labor”! BUT, I ended up going into labor early on 8/3 at 34 weeks 6 days. My water broke while I was driving home from Ft. Lauderdale (2 hours away) 😂 Drove myself to the hospital through contractions with my sis patrece_ in the passenger seat lol!
When I finally got to the hospital, Baby A was in breech position. They said, “if you try to push you may deliver baby A successfully but risk leaving baby B with no oxygen and you could lose her!” So I went ahead with the c-section. It went routinely, recovery was uneventful and the twins spent about 2 weeks in the NICU before we all went home!
I’m planning for a VBAC delivery this time. My OB is onboard! I did not like how I felt on the epidural during the twins’ c-section so if I can avoid that I will! I was nauseous and completely out of it I don’t have clear memories of seeing them or hearing their first cries! Even told my mom “I’m never doing this again” 😂 I’m not opposed to a c-section though, happy to have another if baby boy or I are in distress and it’s medically necessary. Or if he’s shaping up to be a 10lb baby! I’m just not interested in pushing a big baby! And I’ve had a c-section before so the pushing with a bigger baby could cause complications internally!
I’m planning for an unmedicated birth. No epidural, No one is breaking my water or pushing medication to induce or speed up my labor or using mechanical devices to stretch anything!! Hoping baby boy and my body do what they need to do to get him here safely in his own time.
I was 7lbs 14oz at birth and baby’s father was 10lbs 14oz 😮💨 how big do we think baby boy will be?!?!
