"We ordered 5 or 6 marble mosaic samples from Tilebar, because they’re free, you have a great selection, and they arrive in a timely manner, which can’t be said about many other tile vendors. The Abernathy mosaic was the one the client liked most and they already had an arabesque shape motif on their fireplace tile and so we decided to repeat that shape on the backsplash. There was quite a bit of variation in the darks and lights of the carrara which worked in our favor because we didn’t want the decorative mosaic to match the rest of the carrara subway. It made for a great accent that ties in well with the rest of the design."
