What drove the redesign?⠀
"The client really disliked the flooring in the kitchen and the overall design didn't offer a lot of space. We worked together to create more storage as well as a seating area in the kitchen." ⠀

Did you hit any roadblocks?⠀
"The clients had a small budget, with some options already pre-chosen, we came up with an idea to paint the walls and choose something very different for the backsplash and the flooring to add a little more dimension and create a more authentic look."⠀

How did you work with the original space?⠀
"The footprint of the kitchen didn't change too much but we ended up closing a door. The home was built in the 20's and wanted to still have a vintage vibe to the house that also matched my clients' lifestyle. "⠀

When the space was redesigned, did you have a hard time choosing the tile? What made you choose the one you did?⠀
"The tile options for the redesign became a very intuitive process. My clients had recently moved from New York to LA and were still missing their lives a bit in New York. When it came time to find the backsplash, my clients had expressed that they didn't want a typical subway tile look. Tilebar's Cadenza Salt Tile was the perfect option, as it offered a bit of nostalgia and was reminiscent of the brick backsplashes typically found in New York as well as being a very Californian rustic piece. It really tied all the design elements together that added an extra dimension to the kitchen's overall aesthetic. My clients and I are extremely satisfied with how the kitchen turned out. "⠀
