MORE PROGRESS! Here’s another peek at the fireplace, this time with flooring 😍 and flooring means we can get our sectional in here soon and enjoy our beautiful fireplace! Ok, maybe not while it's 90 degrees outside, but I cannot WAIT to nestle into the couch with a blanket on a chilly fall or winter night, hit the power button and immediately enjoy a fire 🙌 Not only is it aesthetically pleasing but its efficient, too- it will warm the house, rather than letting the warm air escape through the chimney like our wood burner did. (But don’t worry, wood-burning fans… we still have one in the basement 😉) We tiled around it with a faux marble porcelain tile that looks similar to our countertops, and then will build a wood mantle surround and a built-in bookshelf on the right, with the TV above. Hopefully that will all happen in the next month or two!
I am so relieved that we hired this out. We purchased it through CenterPoint Energy’s Home Service Plus. #sponsored HSP made the process super easy- we had the expert representative come right to our home, take measurements and walk us through the selection process. I went to the showroom to see the models in-person and he was able to get it all ordered to meet our needs and design wishes.
