Located in the Arboretum, Simar is Austin’s first authentic coastal Mexican seafood restaurant.
Taking inspiration from the beautiful Mexican coastal landscape served as the anchor for this design concept. A calming natural palette invites guest in with the contrasting touches of blue to create an electric atmosphere. The sandy textured tile and terrazzo tile flooring emulate the sense of walking on the beach while the reclaimed wood wainscoting reflects the driftwood found along the shores. The feature wall and bar tile mimic the pattern of fish scales which catches guests attention to admire the pops of fun sea creatures in the unique lighting above. The wooden ceilings and an extensive airy patio maximize the sense of space and interconnection with the outdoors throughout the dining experience.
