@abbyventure travelling in a Tilley classic LTM6 . . #repost My biggest advice for traveling: _____ 1. EAT when you’re hungry. This sounds so trivial but I literally used to try to wait for mealtimes to eat and I would let myself get cranky and hangry. Always carry snacks with you and when you feel yourself starting to get even a little hungry, eat the snacks. I could have avoided so many arguments and frustrations if I had just eaten a snack...😅 _____ 2 Be patient. With everything-situations, people, customs, cultures, your travel partners, and most importantly, yourself. Things will go wrong, information may be incorrect, a restaurant you choose might not be great, you might accidentally waste time or money, someone may be rude. But it’s all ok. Just be patient. I learned this one big time while traveling solo in Greece earlier this year. 3. Hope for the best but prepare for the worst. I try to have a backup plan for if bad things happen like...what to do if my wallet gets stolen, if I get lost, if I miss a ferry or bus, etc. I also take precautions to make sure these things don’t happen, but when you have a worst-case scenario plan, then it makes things less intimidating. What do you think? What’s your best travel advice or the best thing you’ve learned while traveling? (Photo of me in Ein Gedi National Park in Israel by my brother )
