It’s international women’s day. . . I am proud to be a woman- everyday. Some days, it’s annoying because I don’t even know why I’m mad or where I want to eat... but 9/10 I’m good ? . . But seriously, ladies. Keep your head up. Love yourself. Love those around you. Know you’re worth and your strengths. Trust in yourself. Trust in your gut (bc a woman’s intuition is like NEVER wrong). . . Once I had Oliver, my world changed. Not just because he was finally in my arms but my body changed. My mind warped. I’m a mom. A powerful mom. A powerful woman. Childbirth literally helped me see how incredible we are! . . I was in the hospital, in an induced labor, for three days before they took me in for a c section. I was wide awake, watching, as the doctor and the nurses cut me open as I gave birth to my son. And as soon as I heard that boy cry, i didn’t even care that I was sliced and still spread on a surgical table. . . My body fed my child for 14 months. Longer than I ever thought I could. I’m proud of myself. And my son. . . My husband worked insane hours in that first year of our boy’s life. I battled postpartum anxiety and depression. With help from my husband, family and friends- I overcame. . . You see, being a woman is amazing to me. We adapt. we conquer. We overcome. We may cry more than the average man, but damn we are S T R O N G. . . I hope my son can grow up appreciating and respecting everyone in his life and if he finds a woman he loves and wishes to spend his life with, I pray that he can see her strength and lift her up every single day, and vice versa. Couples should be a team. The appreciation helps us through each day! . . This world is a lot of things these days, I hope we can all raise the light that it needs ? stay strong, ladies #internationalwomensday
