“You’re changing,” you’ll hear people say.
I’ve had several people tell me over the past 6 months that they see me changing. They say I hold my head up higher, I’m more sure of myself, and I’m taking more authority. A few have said that it’s as if I’m becoming a new person.
But I don’t quite see it that way. I feel more myself now than ever.
I don’t think I’m becoming someone new. I’m simply shedding off everything that was never me, and it’s revealing who I’ve always been.
That’s what having a real relationship with God does. You lay aside every weight that holds you down and run fast toward everything God predestined you to.
When God is breaking you and pruning you, that’s a cause for celebration. That means you’re shedding off the dead weight and stepping into the YOU that God created you to be.
