Two times in the past month I’ve been in a situation where someone has said to me: “You’re a mom?!” and “I would have never guessed you were a mom!”
Granted these are reactions coming from complete strangers who don’t know me, but I must say, receiveing that reaction stings a little.
It’s like when you’re pregnant and someone says to you, “you don’t LOOK pregnant.” And then you start to second guess how healthy your baby is and how much it’s growing etc.
I love being a mom. It’s who I am now. It’s my life. There isn’t a breath I take or I thought I think that doesn’t involve the two little boys I brought into this earth.
Not sure what the point of me sharing this is, because maybe I’m not sure why they’re saying this to me. It could be the way I act, or look, or dress. Or all three.
Maybe I’m part of a new generation of moms changing what’s expected of how a mom should look or act. ???? If so, I’m here for it. ?? ? Speaking of not dressing my age... everyone was obsessed with this top I wore last weekend (you’ll see what I mean when you see what store it’s from ?....I’m linking it in my stories. ???
