This past weekend I tried to help a friend raise money in honor of her son who passed away in her arms at age 5 after a short battle with leukemia. My idea was to have my kids do extra chores and the money they earned would be donated to my friends fundraising campaign. I am happy that my boys raised $75 from the extra chores. However, I was so disappointed in their attitude and work ethic. Am I expecting to much that a 10, 8 and 7 yr olds would understand and should pick weeds without complaining? Am I raising boys that feel entitled? I think it was me who learned the lesson this weekend. #tinytags #gratitude
