Was a cool fall day today at @oakglengc where I was lucky enough to have got out for 9 holes on their championship course. Psyched myself out on the 2nd hole again, as the right side is lined with townhomes and even though I don't hit a slice, I ALWAYS slice the ball on this hole. I ended up stopping the ball off of the tee (no slice!) and finished the hole with a double bogey 7, along with some rattled nerves. Never quite felt comfortable with the round after that.
I also got out to try the @titleist #2019proto ball they sent me. Left the house with three, came home with three.
This is a shot of the 9th tee where I proceeded to hook the ball back towards the 5th green instead of playing the slight dogleg right. I ended up getting a double bogey on that hole as well.
The new ball, overall, had a nice feel off of the club face. I never quite got the "gush" feeling I get from my Callaways, but I'll give them a try again to see how they feel for my next round. -
