Here are my initial impressions on the @titleist #2019proto - will have more in recap on my blog in a few days.

Black number proto ball seems to fly straighter with more pop than the current Pro V1. Hard to say about driver spin but looks to launch a bit lower. Durability with both black and red number balls not an issue. Dimple pattern appears similar but proto definitely more textured.

Black numbered proto is slightly higher launch with irons. Compared to the AVX it’s a bit higher launch and spin.

Saw no difference in roll on the greens with black or red proto balls compared to current gen (but black proto does have softer feel). Definitely more greenside bunker spin with black number proto compared to current Pro V1. Also more spin on half-shots, chips inside 50 yards.
