Sometimes – okay, often – I feel like the lamest creator on Instagram. There are so many amazing women here, giving all manner of excellent advice, and I feel woefully deficient. (I'm not even talking about my pathetic tech skills! 😂)
I’ve never been comfortable giving “womanly” advice. I don’t know if the shampoo that works for my straight hair will work for your curly hair. I have no idea if the skin care products I like for my oily skin will be good for your dry skin. The clothes I love might not be your style at all. 🤷♂️ I’m not a great cook – fortunately, my husband is! – and my home and garden skills leave much to be desired. When I’m not working at my job as a journalist, I’m typically just walking in nature, or curled up reading with a cat in my lap.
In short, when it comes to giving advice for being beautiful or healthy or fabulous or super-productive – i.e. “living your best life” – I am wholly inadequate.
But I am an observer. A watcher. A ponderer. I'm a seeker of truth, appreciator of wisdom, and lover of beauty. In all its forms.
So, while I have little to offer in the way of practical advice, I share with you what I see and think and feel. Gorgeous words I come across. Thoughts that compel me. Ideas that move me. Heart songs and confessions – my own, and others'. I share my soul, because it’s all I have to offer. I hope that, every now and then, you run across my posts “in the right light, at the right time,” and that I occasionally inspire you as you so often inspire me.
