Located in the Southern Utah desert, Zion National Park is defined by narrow canyons, beautiful red Navajo sandstone, and lush woodland oases. We visited in late January during the ‘off season’ and we were blown away by how beautiful (and uncrowded!) the park was in winter. 🌵

💦 Hike the Narrows (📸 1-3)
The Narrows is arguably the most iconic and unique hiking experience in Zion. You’ll hike through a canyon with walls over 1,000 feet tall, and you’ll need to navigate water and slippery rocks. No permits are needed for the first 4 miles of the hike.
🌅 Sunset at Canyon Overlook (📸 4-6)
Canyon Overlook is a classic sunset spot in Zion. It’s also a great spot for a sunset photo session so you can create lasting memories! We did a shoot with Arika of zionadventurephotog (hosted), and trust me when I say she is WAY fun! 🤭
⛰️ Hike Angels Landing or Observation Point (📸 7-8)
Looking for some of the best views of Zion? Hike Angels Landing or Observation Point! The two hikes have similar views, but Angels Landing (📸 7) requires a permit AND comfort with heights and steep drop offs. Observation Point (📸 8) is a great substitute with similar views, and no steep drop offs!
🥾 Hike the Watchman trail (📸 9-11)
If you’re looking for a short-but-sweet hike in Zion this is it! The 3 mile Watchman Trail has amazing views of the valley. The paved Pa’rus Trail is also a great option. It’s flat and dog, wheelchair, and bike friendly!
