Keeping the Maine thing the main thing. 🍂🦞🌞⛵️
We booked this trip to see family and obviously in the back of our minds hoped it would be pretty for fall, but wowowow we’re blown away. We didn’t do any research beforehand (thanks to my sister for doing the planning for us - cause it’s a huge relief not to have to be the ones doing that all the time!) and somehow everything has just flowed perfectly. “Looks like we got here at the right time!” says been the running phrase in the most annoying way. 😅 The weather, the colors, the fun scramble-y hikes, the bricks & ivy, the ocean dips, the food oh gawd the food, the walking everywhere and the scenic drives and I could just go on and on.
After a somewhat sad blue spell we found ourselves in the last month or so, this trip has been such a shimmering golden surprise and gosh are we grateful for it. Thanks Mama Nature for being a light in our lives. And to my sister. And to each other, as we’ve both leaned into sweetness & softness. Can’t wait to see what the next week brings. 💗
