Sometimes I hesitate to post things because I’m not 100% perfect at it. But trying everyday and sharing where I’m at, even if it’s not perfect yet, is much better than doing nothing. ⁣ ⁣ I’ve been focused on buying more sustainable clothes, so I’ve spent time researching a company’s social and environmental impact before making a purchase. Greenwashing is pretty prevalent, so I haven’t relied on just the company’s own labels. I recently learned about the goodonyou_app which can make the research process a lot easier. If a company has already been rated on the app, it gives you a quick summary of a company’s labor, environmental and animal practices. I looked up all the companies I thought were sustainable, and was surprised to find that a few were falling short.⁣ ⁣ Besides being cute, comfortable and having pockets, this organic cotton dress is made by sustainable clothing company toadandcoclothing. I’d already done my research, and I was happy to see that toadandcoclothing is rated a 4/5 on the app because they use sustainable materials, reuse offcuts from other companies to minimize waste and partner with The Renewal Workshop to upcycle fabric or renew clothing.⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ #adventureintoad #wearsustainable #sustainablefashion #sustainabilitymatters #slowfashion #californiadreaming #californiacaptures ⁣ #californiabeaches #pescaderobeachstatepark
