Who is ready for some Spring Cleaning?!
No longer any need to hide the broom! This often under-appreciated object has had a make-over and is both practical and exquisite.
These are not your average brooms... These brooms are hand made for @lepaar by Rob and Geoff in their Tumut broom factory. In order to support a local industry under threat, Lepaar insisted on using only locally grown millet of which there is a limited supply as there are only 2 growers left in Australia. Bound with solid brass wire is custom spun for in an Australian Foundry on rolled mixed hardwood handles from Northern NSW and the nails are solid bronze cast (from NZ). The exquisitely beautiful handles are hand sanded, naturally stained and double waxed with linseed oil and beeswax by Lepaar, and either finished with a solid brass logo stamped top or drill-holed with bevelled edges.
Use of 8-tie stitching for extra strength and longevity and then each broom is hand finished with a logo stamped hand-stitched leather hanging strap. A true labour of love 💕👊🏼
