The rug mat is padded and can be easily wiped down. The rug lays on top and secures in the corners with silicone rug grippers to keep the rug secure in place on the floor. The rug itself is waterproof so messes can be easily wiped up, which is great having a new puppy around! We love the upgraded look in our dining room with the vibrant colors!! 10/10
