We would like to publicly commend Luis Herrera, Vice President of HR, for his charitable act of leisure this morning outside of our office at Turks & Caicos.
Upon noticing his distressed colleague, Delaney Gilligan, who lost her office lanyard on shore during her 7:00 Tiki Charter Performance Review, Luis swiftly sprang into action. Abandoning his lunch, he embarked on a corporate rental speedboat equipped with nothing but his eagle eye and a half-eaten cucumber sandwich.
Luis navigated the 12-mile shoreline in search of the lost item when suddenly, he noticed an unusually decorative seagull perched on a nearby buoy.
With an off-white polyester lanyard draped loosely from the avian's beak, Luis cleverly enticed it with a cucumber slice from his sandwich. In exchange for the refreshing treat, the seagull dropped the lanyard into the boat.
Thanks to Luis's efforts, Delaney finally retrieved her cherished lanyard. As a result of his exceptional dedication, Luis was not only promoted to Senior Vice President of Human Resources, but also Senior Vice President of Seabird Resources respectively.
