Donna and Kenneth Thompson of Marion, Ohio had won the celebrated contest that fateful August, but after what they described as “one too many margaritas” and a “hastily filled-out return address” they unknowingly made themselves unable to be reached by the Vacation® corporate team.
But finally, after 33 years of seaplane banner advertisements, pedal boat search teams, and an ill-conceived nationwide game of Marco Polo, the Thompsons were found; and with the help of good friends at Le Puzz, we were finally able to honor their winnings.
