Still determined to take his leisure to new heights, Reggie Hopkins decided to surprise his beloved Lucille by swapping their newly stretched sea legs for a set of much studier (and insured) wheels, courtesy of Vacation® Road Tripper Rentals.
After test-driving both a Chevy Camaro and a Cadillac Series 62 in the resort’s carpark, narrowly missing a squadron of dozing seagulls, the duo opted for the comparatively modest Yamaha V50. A decision prompted by Reggie’s assertion that he “likes to feel the wind in his perm.”
Assuming their allocated positions, Reggie parked in the driver’s seat with Lucille close behind, her hands placed at the recommended 4 and 8 o’clock points respectively, there was only one thing missing: adequate protection.
The pair were humbled when our Seaside & Roadside Safety Department provided them both with complementary helmets, flattening the salt-sprayed locks they’d been hard at work maintaining over the course of their week-long vacation.
After a series of grumbles, elongated sighs, and a brief attempt at a stare-down — all valiant efforts by Lucille — a compromise was reached: the pair would wear the appropriate headgear in exchange for a free pass to the Vacation® Day Dream Spa to revitalise their curls. Clever negotiation, Reg.
